We ship worldwide from India. Here is what that means for shipping cost and for customs, stated plainly, because most sellers leave you to find out at the door.
Shipping
Free express shipping to 38 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and Singapore.
Everywhere else is charged by weight, and we quote it before you pay. Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Poland and Czechia fall into this group.
Every shipment is insured, free of charge, for its full value.
Customs duty, and why it changed
The rules moved twice recently, and a lot of what you will read online is out of date.
United States. Parcels under 800 dollars used to enter duty free. That exemption ended on 29 August 2025. Since 24 July 2026 a 10 percent tariff also applies to goods from India. So expect to pay duty, and expect it to be roughly a tenth of the declared value plus any standard rate for the product.
European Union. The 150 euro duty exemption ended on 1 July 2026. There is now an interim flat charge of about 3 euros on low value parcels.
United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and elsewhere. Rates vary and we will not guess at yours. We tell you what we have actually seen on recent shipments to your country before you pay.
How we keep your cost down
We declare the instrument value and the transport cost separately on the customs paperwork. In most countries duty is charged on the instrument, not on the freight, so this matters.
We will not under declare the value or mark a purchase as a gift. It is illegal, it voids the insurance that protects your instrument, and if customs disagrees with a declared value the parcel can be held or seized. We would rather tell you the real number up front.
Questions we get asked
Who pays the duty?
You do. It is charged by your government, not by us, and it is not included in the price or the shipping.
Can you tell me what I will owe?
We can give you a good estimate, based on what recent customers in your country have actually paid. Message us with your country and the instrument you are looking at.
Will the courier hold my parcel?
Sometimes, until the duty is paid. Paying promptly is the quickest way to get it moving.
Is the shipment insured?
Yes, every one, at no extra cost, for the full value.
